After being put on hold for months due to the pandemic, the PGA Tour is back with its first event, the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge which will be held at the Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, Texas. While there will be no fans in attendance, all four days of the event will be shown live and we've got all the details on how you can watch it at home.
The 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge will actually be the first of four events planned by the PGA Tour as part of its plan to resume operations after the pandemic. The event itself took two months to plan as the tour worked with the Coronavirus Task Force and consulted with other professional sports leagues before deciding to go ahead with it.
The 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge will be a stacked tournament with Rory Mcllroy, Jon Rahm, Brooks Koepka, Justin Thomas and Dustin Johnson among other top players in attendance. Traditionally only around 120 golfers participate in the event but due to the pandemic, it has been opened up to 148 players who will all compete for a chance to win the competition's $7.5m purse.
Round 1 will kick off on Thursday, Round 2 will be held on Friday and Round 3 will take place on Saturday before the final round is played on Sunday. The course at the Colonial Country Club features wide fairways and there will be plenty of opportunities for shotmakers to shine at the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge.
Whether you're a big time golf fan or just looking to watch a bit of sport this weekend, we'll show you exactly how to watch the 2020 Charles Schwab Challenge on TV or online from anywhere in the world.
